It is a NI-FE-MO-CU corrosion-resistant alloy stabilized with Ti, which has effective resistance to uniform corrosion and local corrosion, and has good performance. Therefore, it is widely used in chemistry, energy, and hydrometallurgy. In addition, the alloy has good toughness, and it also works well in the atmosphere. However, it should be noted that shallow pitting corrosion can occur in humid atmospheres. This alloy is also resistant to freshwater corrosion, and has good performance in various applications in flowing seawater, However, in still seawater or under polluted conditions, point like structures can occur.
The high chromium content provides better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. The alloy has good corrosion resistance to nitric acid and organic acids, but limited corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts, in addition to the potential for pitting corrosion in halides. It also has good corrosion resistance in water, steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide. Used in nitric acid condenser - corrosion resistance of nitric acid, steam heating tube - good mechanical properties, heating element tube - good mechanical properties, etc. For applications up to 500°C, the alloy is supplied in the annealed condition.
