What is Inconel Steel Pipe?

Inconel is a registered trademark of the International Nickel Co.

Inconel is an austenitic superalloy with nickel as the main component. Derived from the strengthening effect of molybdenum and niobium solid solution contained in nickel-chromium alloy, it has ultra-high strength and extraordinary anti-fatigue properties in the range of low temperature to 1093 ℃, and is widely used in aviation industry. It is suitable for making anti-oxidation parts bearing low load below 1100 ℃.
It has high tensile strength, fatigue strength, creep resistance and fracture strength at 700 ℃, high oxidation resistance at 1000 ℃, stable chemical properties at low temperature, good welding performance and easy processing.
Although the alloy is designed to adapt to the strength of high temperature environment, the high content of chromium and molybdenum in the alloy has high resistance to corrosion spots, cracking and corrosion for many corrosive media, from highly oxidizing environment to general corrosive environment, and shows excellent corrosion resistance characteristics. It also has strong corrosion resistance to chloride-polluted media such as seawater, geothermal water, neutral salt and salt water.
At the same time, the alloy has high formability and is easier to weld than many nickel-based alloys. Under the condition of being welded, the alloy still has the ability to resist intergranular corrosion. It has good tensile and fatigue properties from low temperature to 980 ℃, and is resistant to stress corrosion in salt fog atmosphere.
It can be used as aero-engine parts, jet aircraft engines, aerospace structural parts, chemical equipment, bellows expansion joints, modern garbage disposal equipment, occasions that contact seawater and bear high mechanical stress, marine structures, saline water environment, etc.
